I heart Bob

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wo
nderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

WOW - Words of Wisdom :)

Travelling up a hill is easier on a bicycle built for two than on a bicycle built for one....

Not felt this, but great lines....

"Keeping busy in the daytime,
Keeping the emotions at bay,
The problem lies during the night-time
Even when I go to sleep
Something pierces me in my sleep
I wake up with a song in my head
The pain from my insides walk me thru my dreams.
I play the song and I bleed
Sores oozing out pain, crying and pulling myself together
telling myself I will make it through this pain
I will make it through anything..

For such an excruciating pain
only GOD can soothe such sores
it feels as if you're heart is bleeding
you cant see it physically
but you feel it deep in the insides
pleading to GOD to patch up the sores
with no one to assist you
you bleed in silence
waiting for GOD to answer your prayers
or better yet try and fall asleep.."

Whatever happens to you, don’t fall in despair. Even if all the doors are closed, a secret path will be there for you that no one knows. You can’t see it yet but so many paradises are at the end of this path. Be grateful! It is easy to thank after obtaining what you want, thank before having what you want.

You don't need to smother someone with compliments, hold doors for them or be overly generous. If they like you, they anyways will.

Mind the mind...

Funny thing our tiny little mind is...can make us laugh at a funeral or cry at the gay-est of all occasions. And never does it stop racing....nope never!
What's more...it renders the body redundant...absolutely!!! Try working out with your mind at your lover's or try dancing at a club with fear /anger. I would actually alter the quote "wherever you go, go with all your heart" "wherever you go, go with your mind too" unless it's already there before u reach! ;) quite a possibility! It's always ahead of us.... Always!

Sprinkle some trust...

Everything is already taken care, we just need to have a little faith! :)

iRead - iLive

Books - the way we can live several lives at one time.... Thank God for reading....!

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

"We live among Heartbreaking Tragedy, Ongoing War, Negative emotions like Fear, Hatred, Indifference, Jealousy and Insecurity; Terrible crimes, a Loss of Morality, Adults killing Children, Toxic Thinking; Broken, Strained and Estranged Relationships; and a Pervasive feeling of Disconnection and chaos. No wonder we feel Depressed, Anxious, Angry, Lost, Exhausted, Afraid, Unmotivated and Confused. It can be Difficult to Hold on to Hope. Sometimes it's easier to believe that being Bad is Better. But I don't think that's True- Each One of us can make a BIG difference by Changing Ourselves, Our Relationships, Broaden our Perception and Our Thinking. Let's Embrace Love, Forgiveness and Light to evolve towards Perfection and Peace. Hug, Kiss, Cuddle- Laugh, Smile, Celebrate Each Other... We are Love.."

"Only Time will Determine when and How you're going to Move on. Sure, it might not be right away like you want it to be, but eventually One day you'll wake up and realize that Somewhere along the way, that piercing feeling you've always felt inside your chest faded and went away while you were too Busy living Life to notice. I'm not afraid of Heights, Deep water, or Love. I'm afraid of Falling, Drowning, and a Broken Heart.."

That's not what they say

Everybody can grow up and get mature, it's remaining a child at heart which is difficult....

Is it?

Love should not be that which renders you useless, incapable of action....It is that which motivates you to achieve higher goals and drives you to work better.

no reason, no season....

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Experiencing love or true love is one of the most happiest thing a person can experience in life. No words can express how happy that person is...

You don’t have reasons for loving, you just do."

-Anonymous

It's him...

Am not aware of the person who wrote the below lines, but I am sure, it's a guy!

"You may not be his first, his last, or his only. He loved before, he may love again. But if he loves you now, what else matters? He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits being human and making mistakes, hold on to him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break: His Heart.
So don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, its all a myth, folks!!"

"Sometimes it's better to put love into hugs than to put it into words."

Live Longer Folks!

I am a lot into 'lists' these days.....So here's a splendid one I stumbled upon....
Mine (still a rough draft) to be published soon..... Till then...enjoy this!

1. Don't cut out anything. If it exists and you like it, fine, just use moderation, that's the key word. More stress is caused by denial than this world dreams of.

2. Don't push yourself. As you get older slow down and ignore all those experts who tell you about cardio whatever because crazy exercise is close to manslaughter...you have nothing to prove, so sweat but don't sweat it.

3. Drop envy as a companion. The green eyed monster eats your heart out and nibbles at your mind like a rat. You cannot be the other person so what's the point of working yourself over it.

4. Listen to your body. it always gives warning signs. Crisis is seldom sudden, it happens because we duck the signs, like it's only indigestion when it is not. It's your life...sobering thought...they'll be talking on their mobile phones at your funeral.

5. Stay out of debt. Credit cards can kill you and there is nothing worse and more humiliating than being chased for money...as corrosive as rust.

6. Smell the roses. No point having a garden if you won't stop to enjoy it. Beyond a certain degree of wealth and success it is all repetitive so find repose, rest, relaxation and get a hobby even if you are 72...hobbies are good medicine.

7. Laugh. It is incredible how problems shrink when you can funny mirror your life and yourself and all the pomposity around you. Be serious but don't take props seriously. Your designation, your seat of power, your perks, your silly car brand, your address, these are all passing fancies or sad, little crutches.

8. Don't drag the past with you. That's why it is the past. Yesterday. Learn from it but if you insist on carrying it into the present and the future all you'll end up doing is bleed.

9. Save your time. It is precious. Don't squander it on inconsequentials be that events, people, hangers on, projects etc. Use it for family. Family counts.

10. Do something good. For children. For the world you live in. For an individual. For an animal. Nothing like a good deed to get the adrenalin flowing...goodwill is so under-rated.

Happiness is Homemade

"My simplest advice to everyone out there; if it hurts, let it go. Life is way too short to waste any time at all. You're only young for so long, and every moment you spend dwelling on the things that only cause you to hurt, is precious time wasted where you could have been out adventuring around, making more memories to look back on. Nobody wants to remember the nights they sat around crying. They look back at the adventures they had while they were young. The good nights, days, whatever.
And when you find someone where it feels like the first time every time, don't let that go. Don't give up without a fight. To hell with anybody who makes you feel like you're ordinary. Don't waste your time. And I am not kidding, when you find this person, hold tight and do not ever let them go. It rarely happens. And you'll know it, because that is when you feel most alive. It's a pretty shitty world, no jokes. But you can be happy if you want to be."

Don't know who wrote these lines....but they touched me!

Love...

"Dear Human: You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering. But unconditional love? Stop telling that story. Love, in truth, doesn’t need ANY other adjectives. It doesn’t require modifiers. It doesn’t require the condition of perfection. It only asks that you show up. And do your best. That you stay present and feel fully. That you shine and fly and laugh and cry and hurt and heal and fall and get back up and play and work and live and die as YOU. It’s enough. It’s Plenty.” ~ Courtney A. Walsh

Love...

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.
You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...
You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and
then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."

L's wisdom in lame words ;)

H: Mere mann mein bahut ashanthi hai....
L: Ashanthi kyoon, prashanthi kar le..
H: Lokesh please..... seriously yaar....I just don't like this cat on the wall business....It should be either here or there for me....
L: Let the cat go out and play in the garden.
H: Ok, I have understood, Patience is all the strength that man needs....
L: Even Batman?????

In his mazaak mazaak, I got all the answers required.....

Our first response when have an issue is that we  focus a lot on the negative side of things. As a result we only create more and more ashanthi for ourselves. If for once, we contemplate on the positive, its all Prashanthi then :) Sometimes we absolutely fail to understand the power of our thoughts while in a situation. Imagine a jar of pringles/candy kept beside a jar of peanuts/almonds.....what do we opt for in times of stress....obviously the chips & the chocolates and definitely not the almonds. Well well well so thats our answer......we have trained our minds and body soooo well, that in times of stress and problem junk and unhealthy is the answer, and same holds true for minds, problem hai toh bura hi socho, acha toh ho hi nahi sakta....but what's the effect of this candy bars on our body.....we feel better for not more than 30 minutes but get more stressed soon after and crave more of the candies....Negative thoughts are just that - Candies & Pringles, momentarily they might bring some ease by thinking about the worst case scenario, but it fails to bring any long term ease. Positive thinking on the other hand is like the peanuts and almonds, gives the body & mind the nutrition and strength to deal with the situation at hand effectively. So, it might be difficult to reach out for the almonds & peanuts in times of trouble, but if practised we can lead ourselves from Ashanthi to Prashanthi just by virtue of our thoughts. :)

Next, when he said about letting the cat out.....how true.....!
If I have an emotional problem today, I will think about nothing else but the problem....think think think!!! And then worry worry worry! I don't appreciate the sun, not grateful to God for the gift of family and friends and Life, nothing at all....I only worry about that problem till it blows out of proportion and I reach to a stage where one more thought about it can possible blow me!!!! Instead why don't I just let the cat out. Why don't I just pause a moment and quit worrying about the issue. It's definitely not so serious....instead if I concentrate on other things or work....I will grow and not blow.... ok now that's lame! ;)
His tip was simple - Stop Thinking! And though it is veryyyyy difficult, just imagine yourself actually letting out a struggling cat who runs into a beautiful sunny garden, rolling into the grass and chasing butterflies....even though I hate cats this vision actually made me smile and feel peace sprout within. Shutting the mind is not so difficult after all.....We have heard the saying "The soul knows how to heal itself, the challenge is to silence the mind." :)

And yes Patience is a virtue stronger than all body's might...and Batman does need it! It's a bad day perhaps but never a bad life! :)

Satirically, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl, unlike other TV shows, does teach a lot of things; YES, it can teach......Few being -

1) You can throw a lavish party even within 3 hours notice, along with a theme, and expect scores to turn up complying exactly by the theme.

2) FASHION is RELIGION.

3) Life is boring if Gossip Girl doesn't send out a post for more than 3 hours.

4) It's easier to trust an unknown lady with great spying skills than your own childhood best friend.

5) A few thousand dollars here and there don't really matter.

6) It is possible to go from lonely to The One, if you are on Gossip Girl's radar.

7) Yes, you can sleep peacefully every night, even though the entire city knows your pranks.

8) It is possible to wake up like a Diva, with hair and make up done, every single day.

9) "I am 18, I feature in Gossip Girl, no I don't need to study. High School is my highest qualification." - any GG cast.

10) "My mom is my enemy." - most GG girl stars.

11) A series based on teenagers now no longer means more of classroom shots, quite the contrary, it shows them everywhere else like staircase, clubs, fancy restaurants & huge mansions, barely in classes.

12) You can do sin and hide from God, but not from the eyes of Gossip Girl.

Though the above is obvious satire, there is some thing I really learnt -

SAY YES ALWAYS! Be it for a party that Dan hates, or a vacation that Serena does not have on the cards, an illegal affair that Nate is afraid to reveal, living on a yacht & biking for the not so adventurous Chuck Bass or marrying a guy, Blair is not in love with.....Whatever it is, their best and most unexpected moments of life come when they agree to get out of their comfort zone and say yes at every opportunity, whether to their liking or not.

XoXo.....

Hail Aamir!

Highlights of Satyameva Jayate - Organic Food and Farming

1) Pesticides are not medicine or growth formula that doubles the quantity of the crop, it is POISON.

2) Fruits and Vegetables that are fresh are not necessarily nutritionally high. They need to be free of chemicals to be able to retain their nutritional value.

3) Research on a segment of lactating mothers showed that the chemicals that she has consumed over the years are transferred to the child in the form of breast milk and the chemical endosulfan is almost 400%-800% higher than usual in it.

4) Endosulfan Horror - An area in Kerala was sprayed with the this chemical from helicopter the result of which is deformities in children, miscarriages (10 times higher than usual), death at birth and other chronic ailments. Over 5000 people in the region and a large number of cattle and animals have been affected.

5) Farmers do not eat what they grow for commercial purpose. Almost every farmer is aware of the ill-effects of chemicals and pesticides and does not grow the crop with the same means for their family.

6) Unknowingly, we take in almost 400 times higher the amount of chemicals that can be considered normal.

7) Folic Acid that leads to the development of brain in fetus, cannot function because of the chemicals. Hence, babies in Rajasthan have been born with unthinkable deformities and without a brain itself.

8) Chemicals ARE CARCINOGENIC.

9) Green Revolution brought about more harm than bad. Not adapting Green Revolution would have probably led to slightly lesser growth but people would have been much more healthier now.

10) The root problem is not the pests. The micro-nutrients found in the soil are naturally blessed to fight the few pests. Spraying of pesticides not only kills the micro-nutrients but also makes the crop potentially dangerous to consume. Micro-nutrients in soil are far lesser harmful than the chemicals.

11) If the issue is to kill the pests, that can be easily done by various other simpler methods, like sticky paper, cloth trap etc. These are safe, effective and yet cost nothing more than Rs. 15 each.

12) Pesticides and other chemicals involve huge costs to farmers and in turn lead to suicides due to loan traps.

13) If subsidies are given for chemical farming, that will grow, but if the same subsidies are given for organic farming, not only will more farmers adapt it, the cost of produce will also reduce.

14) The more the consumers opt for organic, that much more higher will the produce be. The farmers will be forced to meet the demands.

15) Its a myth that Organic methods lead to lesser growth of crops.

16) Washing, soaking and peeling a vegetable are very basic and temporary solutions. Unfortunately, the chemicals have been deep-rooted and are present in the entire vegetable. Only going ORGANIC is the permanent solution.

17) Interaction with local producers in Farmers Market will not only encourage the peasants to opt for organic methods, but will also give them a thorough understanding of what is liked and and needed by the consumers.

18) Sikkim has evolved itself as THE ORGANIC STATE, other regions should emulate the same system.

19) Consumers job - opt for Organic

20) Hail Aamir Khan and Satyameva Jayate!

Random

I discover from my experiences so far, that the best word to describe life is RANDOM!

And on the lighter side, the image below -

And Life Happens

Just go out, do your best and be simple & straight. Speak what you think and do what you feel. You need not play games and be political at all times. Do your honest work, sleep with a clear conscience and know that you will be justly rewarded.  Trust that what you deserve is what you will get and understand that we will never be made to go through an experience without learning anything from it. Believe in yourself because if you don't, then who will.

Cake Quotes

1) Happiness is not the absence of Cake, but rather the judgement, that something else is more important than cake.

2) You must create the Cake you wish to see in the shelves. (The base to all weird flavours we see)

3) Have a problem, Cake it. (Unfortunately, at some point even Google doesn't have all the answers.)

4) Cake - Eat like you don't get fat and love it like you have never tasted a bad one.

5) Better to eat (Cake) for yourself and have no friends, than to have friends and no cake.

6) I am patient with bad Cake, not the baker.

7) When a person can no longer laugh at himself, it is time for him to eat cake. (All humour of life returns.)

8) The trouble with the Cake race is that....... Oooppss sorry there can never be any trouble with Cake or those who eat it.

9) The cure for all problems is Cake, there is no cure for Cake-eating.
